The ART of Citrus

We are South Africa's largest citrus fruit grower, exporter and fruit juice concentrate processing factory on a single site.

Founded in 1902, our operations have great depth and scale, yet we are also a family-owned business, knowledgeable and caring about every detail of fresh fruit production and processing. Our two operational units, Letaba Estates, a citrus farm in the Tzaneen region of Limpopo and Letaba Citrus Processors, a fresh fruit juice concentrate processing facility, deliver an extensive array of quality products locally and internationally.

The Journey of Our Citrus
Letaba Estates
This is where all our citrus is farmed and freshly grown seasonally. Our citrus ranges from a variety of Valencia Oranges, Lemons, Grapefruit and Mandarins.

Once picked, our fruit is transported to our recently upgraded Packhouse. Improved sorting equipment ensures that we supply each customer with exactly what they require. The electronic pre-sorting equipment can easily adjust in speed to ensure consistent output. We take 4 million Oranges, select and grade these, take 600 photographs of each fruit and pack them in 45 000 cartons, all in a days work.
Letaba Citrus Processors
Processes just over 60 000 tons of fresh fruit per year. Of the 3 million orange-a-day capacity, 20-25% is normally obtained from Letaba Estates. At LCP we process 24/7 and our season starts in February with Lemons and ends in late October.

Valencias are known for their juice attributes and the factory is perfectly situated on the banks of the Letaba River, in the heart of Valencia country. Having the ability to process, increases our options to the fruit market.
